Toda la razón, a mí me pasó antes de publicar el primer libro… por suerte dejé atrás los miedos y ahora es de los mejores pasos que he dado en mi vida! 🫶

I'm 48 and I'm finally getting a grasp on what I want to do for the rest of my life. Things were okay at my good government job, but I see my life getting so much better the closer I get to filling up that bookcase.

I find that writing opens a new world full of possibilities.

You got this, Susie!

Not 40 yet, but at 37 I'm not making the Forbes 30 under 30 either. I love the mindset shift of not being late, just figuring things out. I feel like that never stops. Here's hoping I too can get paid to write full time by the time I hit the big 4-0! Thank you for the lovely article as always.

Cheers to your goal of turning your passion into your lifestyle!

I hadn't even started to write at 37 so you are a few steps ahead 😉

That's brilliant, Laura, and I feel the same way.

It's great to see age as something empowering and not a barrier.

What's the most exciting thing you are working on?

I'm in my 40s, too. And I feel I'm late.

But I'm still fighting.

Actually, I think I spent too long conforming to the expectations of other people. I got closer to my real self only after 35.

Defnitely not late, Alberto, the best is yet to come!

I think for me it was starting my own thing and my career on my terms what really got me closer to my real self.

Focusing on one goal and willing to put in the effort for that is what we all need.

Plus, it requires us to stay:

-Disciplined

-Consistent

-Resilient

-Patient

This is what helps you grow in the long run.

Also, believing in yourself never fails to bring you amazing results.

Veronica, this piece resonates so deeply! Your words are a refreshing reminder that life is not a race, and that embracing new beginnings, no matter when they happen, is a sign of growth and courage. I love how you highlight the power of starting fresh and pursuing dreams without being tethered to age or societal timelines.

Your story of reclaiming your narrative after 40 is incredibly inspiring and full of vibrant energy—like the butterflies you mention. Keep chasing them, and thanks for showing the rest of us that it’s never too late to set sail toward new horizons. 💫🍋🌳

Thank you so much!

It was honestly inspired by my own coaching clients who are in their 60s, 70s and even 80s.

They are the ones who showed me that age is not a barrier but a badge of experience. I'm following their steps.

Cheers!

I turned 52 this year. The last six years have been spent recovering from head trauma, PTSD, being suicidal, homelessness and destitution.

I am essentially starting again.

Which is fucking great.

I get to choose who I am

I get to choose what I do

What a story David: I love your vulnerability but also your ownership.

It's your story and you are going to make it bloody awesome.

You go!

PS: 3 years ago, I had a burnout and I ended up publishing a book about it.

Your weakness today, your strength tomorrow.

Cheers!
