Hey Veronica! OMG, I can so relate to your story!!! Well, maybe, not the big publisher’s deal, YET, 😁 but going on and on without, seeing any tangible fruits yet.

I‘ve been writing for so long, now and am showing up every day again and again, learning, improving, sharpening my tool box. It feels very draining sometimes, but I am not giving up. Rather each day I make it an effort to find the joy in my writing. And more often than not I do and am grateful that I can finally do what I love.

Thank you for sharing your story! This really gives me hope! ❤️💫🍀✨

Thank you for opening up and sharing your story and your struggles, Martina!

It’s all very relatable and familiar. The beginnings are tough but growth is never linear and bumps are always part of the journey. It’s what keeps it interesting ;)

I wish you all the best and keep up the great energy and motivation. That goes a long way ✨

I think I was meant to read this today. My most passionate manuscript “Dad’s Last Wish” somehow got stuck. I need to show it the light of the day and bring forth its radiance.. Thanks for sharing dear

You‘ve got this! Remember why you started writing this book in the first place this sometimes helps to get the ball rolling again.

Are you stuck in loss of motivation or a specific part of the book and don‘t know how to go on?

Yes thanks Veronica

I wrote this book after Dad left us physically as the name suggests. I feel I was guided to write this book. Have set a target. Will do it:

That’s fantastic.

I also wrote a memoir and published it last year. It was not only about my late dad but it was a way to pay a tribute to him too.

Hi,

I’m so happy to hear this because sometimes we need a little sign to keep going.

Do this - take 1 action related to your book. It doesn’t have to be big.

Perhaps it’s looking for similar titles, keep editing, writing a new page…

Just one thing is enough to create momentum.

You got this and it’s a powerful title 🫶🏻

Sounds like a hard slog, thanks for sharing the reality, not the fairy tale.

The day I got my first book deal with a major publisher I couldn’t believe it. Same as you - a long list of what hadn’t worked. Then it just happened.

This is by all means not a boast. But a confirm that it all does lead somewhere. Often when you least expect it

It’s not boasting if it’s true, Maria! ;)

This is so true, every step matters, even those that make us go backward.

It’s experience, resilience, learning…

And one day, after years of hard work, you become an “overnight success story.”

Thank you.

Honesty and integrity are key values.

I think it’s important to show people the real picture.

If I now told my readers “I can help you get a book deal with Penguin in 3 months because I got one” I could get a ton of customers but I would be lying.

I can help you get better, prepare your pitch, etc but promising quick results would be manipulation and dellusion.

It means that it takes me longer to grow but it’s more sustainable.

Cheers!
