Starting today, I’m launching the Substack Accelerator series: exclusive Posts dedicated to growing and monetizing your Substack.
They are based on my experience becoming a Substack Bestseller and going from marginal to explosive growth.
I will focus on the mindset, strategy, and tactics that will help you make a bigger impact with your writing and turn on the accelerator.

Your Substack Home Page
It only takes 1/10th of a second to form a first impression about a person.
Websites are no different. It takes about 0.05 seconds for users to form an impression and decide whether they will stay…or not.
Your landing page matters—a lot. It’s where you welcome your guests and invite them in for more. Make it count.
The most effective way to design your publication is to think of it as your (digital) home.
How do you want your guests to feel?
What type of host do you want to be?
1. Description (the invite)
If you want people to visit your home, you need to invite them first and give them a reason to come.
Maybe you are having them over for coffee.
Perhaps it’s a casual summer BBQ or a birthday party.
People need to know why they should visit so that they know what to expect- and are excited about it.
Your Substack description is your invitation, an opportunity to create FOMO. Make it crystal clear and actionable.
Why should anyone sign up?
What’s in it for them?
’s description is a best-in-class example. You know what you are getting - and you don’t wanna miss out!Settings > Basics > Short Description
